After you have read this session 1 Introduction, your task is to identify various fundamental concepts of network security. These concepts provide a framework for discussing security and addressing security issues in an enterprise or in cyber space in an organized manner. But for these “big” concepts, our discipline will be a hodgepodge of ideas and ad hoc solutions.  The concepts we discussed include: various dimensions to security,  typical attacks and how they affect the various dimensions to security, 3Ds of security, security policies, mechanisms and services, layering and defense in depth, strategic vs. tactical aspects of security.

The aim of this essay is to use the theme of the belligerent human with examples from literature, art, drama including music, and film.  Do all four parts of this essay. You will not use the same artifact of the humanities throughout the four examples. For example, you cannot use Shakespeare for literature, art, drama including music, and films as you cannot use Lord of the Rings for literature, art, theater, or film. Find different creations of the humanities for each.  story is not humanities. Additionally, you MUST have an introductory and a concluding paragraph. The introductory paragraph should including an introduction to the four items with examples. The concluding paragraph should recount the four items. The introductory and concluding paragraph should mirror each other with the introductory paragraph telling the reader what you intend to do (the future) and the concluding paragraph you recount what was said (the past). 1. Locate, describe and analyze one example of a bystander of violence from films. The first sentence should have the word “bystander” and “film” within it. 2. Locate, describe and analyze one example of a rescuer from literature. The first sentence should have the word “rescuer” and “literature” within it. 3. The goal of the project is to implement a “prototype” database system application / ERD diagram for an eCommerce social-network system called UCOnline where users can explore information about books/music/software, rate your purchase, identify purchase price and see ratings of their friends. The project will require you to complete the assignment individually. Below you will find the ERD deliverable requirements. There are two parts to the assignment. You must create a diagram using a diagramming tool AND provide a written text-based document explaining your relationship mapping (systems analysis use case document). The assignment is worth 200 points. See rubric for grading scheme. BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS ACROSS ALL ASSIGNMENTS You will work with book/music/media information, user information, ratings of books, and users’ social network Each book has an id, title, publication date, publisher, ISBN, functional category, page count, price (publisher), and product description There are 3 categories of book: fiction, non-fiction, and specialty There are 2 categories of music: digital and media-based An author can write one or more books. A musician can be a solo artist, part of a group, or both An author can also be associated with one or more publishers. A musician/group/act can be associated with one or more music houses An author’s book can have one or more editions. A song and or album can have more than one version/edition (i.e. EP, LP, CD, DVD etc) A publisher can have many authors and many books. A record company can have many artists associated and many albums associated with it. A record company can also be the publishing company (i.e. self-publishing) Many ISBNs can also be associated with a given publisher but only one ISBN per form of medium (ie the ISBN is the PK no matter what). An author can write many books. An artist can write many songs, albums etc. UCOnline needs to keep track of user ratings for each item sold in the online store (e.g., 1-5 and 1 for ‘Dislike’, to 5, for ‘Awesome!’). A particular user rates a particular item at a given time. A user CANNOT rate the same multiple times unless there are multiple editions of the item. Each edition can be rated separately. Each user who submits a rating will be identified by a unique id and has a name, gender, age, and location. Nothing is anonymous. There is also a social network between users. Users can send communication requests (i.e. instant messages/emails) to other users. Such requests can be accepted or ignored. Once accepted, the two users are considered ‘book buddies.’ If ignored, the user can send the request again. We want to add a store when the requests were sent (timestamp), the result of the requests and when the request was answered (timestamp).

There are limited resources in public health and public health administrators are often faced with tough choices as to how to use those limited resources wisely. Should limited resources be expended on education and prevention, or on interventions?   As a public health administrator, you may be called upon to decide whether to implement a proposed prevention campaign, and to make that decision, you will need to know whether that type of campaign is likely to be effective. For this week, you have two choices in how you discuss this topic:

In cases where children are not returned to their biological families, the courts have to find safe, permanent homes for them, including adoptive homes. It is especially difficult in cases where the children have special needs, such as mental retardation or cerebral palsy. In 1997, The U.S. Congress enacted legislation that sought to correct the problems inherent with the foster care system and achieving permanency for special needs children. Write 2-3 pages detailing the provisions of The Adoption and Safe Families Act of 1997(AFSA).

Using the you will compare the risk factors in men and women where you will use the following patient characteristics: age, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, use of anti-hypertensive medication, current smoker, total serum cholesterol, mg/dL, body mass index (BMI), and diabetes, by determining the means for each risk factor. Create a table that summarizes your results. H0 The risk factors for heart disease listed as patient characteristics are not related to if the patient is male or female in the Framingham Heart Study. (Null Hypothesis) H1 The risk factors for heart disease listed as patient characteristics are related to if the patient is male or female in the Framingham Heart Study. (Alternative Hypothesis) shown on page 67 in . To conduct your analysis of the data sort the data by the Sex/Gender variable and sort by smallest to largest. Compute the means and standard deviations for continuous variables using AVERAGE(range) and STDEV(range) functions – Compute n(%) for dichotomous variables using COUNT(range) and COUNTIF (range, criteria) functions modifying ranges accordingly. Present your findings by cutting and pasting your results table in a Word document that includes a title page, introduction, a discussion where you interpret the meaning of the table and a conclusion should be included. Your submission should be 2-3 pages to discuss and display your findings. Provide support for your statements with in–text citations from a minimum of 4 scholarly, peer–reviewed articles. One of these sources may be from the class readings, textbook, or lectures, but the others must be external.
