1- The chapter that interested me the most in this book is Chapter 7: The Role of Nurses in Policy and Politics. I selected this chapter because of its relevance and importance in understanding the impact of nursing on healthcare policy and the political landscape. As a student pursuing a PhD in nursing, it is crucial for me to develop a deep understanding of the role of nurses in policy and politics and how it shapes healthcare delivery.
2- This chapter relates directly to what I have learned so far about the role of nurses and advanced practice nurses (APNs) in policy and politics. Throughout my studies, I have come to appreciate that nurses play a vital role in shaping healthcare policy at various levels. They have the potential to influence policy development, implementation, and evaluation through their knowledge, expertise, and experiences. APNs, in particular, have an even greater impact through their advanced clinical and leadership skills.
