Articles from the past ten years were considered for inclusion in this review.
Cultural Competence and Healthcare

The National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) provide guidelines for healthcare professionals to enhance cultural competency. For the Somali community, understanding and incorporating their care values is essential to honor their cultural traditions and foster meaningful patient-provider relationships.
