Similarly, cognitive development, such as language development, can improve socio-emotional development by enabling children to express their emotions and thoughts effectively.

Discussion Question #2:

Development can be influenced by both nature (genetics) and nurture (environmental factors). The nature-nurture debate has been a long-standing topic of discussion in the field of developmental psychology. While some researchers argue that genetics play a major role in determining outcomes such as intelligence and personality traits, others emphasize the influence of environmental factors such as parenting style and socioeconomic status. It is now widely accepted that both nature and nurture interact and shape development.
