One of the studies identified in my project is a research article titled “Exploring the Relationship between Social Media Use and Body Image Satisfaction among Adolescents” by Smith et al. (2017). In this study, the authors used a data collection method called self-report questionnaires to measure the variable of body image satisfaction. The self-report questionnaires included Likert-scale items that participants responded to, which allowed the researchers to collect quantitative data on participants’ level of satisfaction with their body image.
Self-report questionnaires are a common and widely used data collection method in social science research.
